Every year I wait anxiously for the announcement of the Color of the Year by Pantone. Its almost as exciting to me at who wins Entertainer of the Year! Why does it matter and how do I use the information? Well, it is the main influencer of all product development in fashion and home. For me, it is a guide for all my Interior Design Consulting, product selections and purchasing decisions.
We have seen a shift happening in the gray tones in the home lately. I am seeing on many design sites the shift from cool grays to warm grays. Homeowners are finding that the cooler grays are leaving people feeling …. well, cold!
This time of year I am always SO EXCITED to find out what the paint companies will come out as the popular colors coming out for the next year. It's as exciting of a time as the Grammies. All us Interior designers are always trying to guess to see what the color will be! We sit on our computers and wait for that moment when they are announced! So here it is the yearly paint colors but only from a couple of companies... We have Sherwin Williams and PPG and Behr who has chosen a palette of color this year.
