What is your Style? Could it be Transitional Midwestern?!

I am in contact with several households each year and one of the questions I always ask is , “What is your preferred style?” Sometime this question is easily answered and sometimes it is not. The traditional people know for sure they are traditional and the contemporary people know they are contemporary but the other styles fall somewhere in the middle of all that. Most people will define their style based on what they see in advertisements. Retail stores like Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware and Ikea have established a style all of their own.

French Country vs Tuscan Styles in Interior Design

Happy Spring! Well…kind of. This Winter has been a rough one for many people in the Northeast and here in Ohio we have had a lot more snow, ice and cold weather than normal…not as bad as some, but still a hard winter. I can’t help but to LOVE some of the beautiful French Country decor with all the flowers, greenery, and the thought of a golden sunset over a countryside…Ahhh…

Problems with the Wallpaper? Add Paint to it!

Have you ever had something that tore your wallpaper off in key places? You didn’t know what to do because you didn’t have any extra wallpaper to replace it with and you really didn’t want to replace the wallpaper?

This happened to a client of mine, she had hung Christmas decorations up with the removable tape that was “wallpaper safe” and when she took them down, the wallpaper came right with the tape. She was distraught about what to do so she gave me a call to come over and look at the situation to go over options…
